On -/-/2016 I was informed by - that CitiBank made a hard inquiry on -/-/2016 to access my credit profile. Unable to receive any detailed information as to the inquiry via several phone conversations with Citibank, i filed a complaint with CFPB. I had not initiated any applications for credit. On -/-/2016, over 60 days later, I receive a letter stating that they are still unable to locate the source of the inquiry that was made. I then supplied them with a copy of the credit file report showing the inquiry in question along with the last four digits of my social. On -/-/2016, I receive a letter stating that on -/-/2016, Citi had received an application for credit in my name that prompted the inquiry and that said application for credit was denied. Citi states they will contact - and modify the inquiry to a non-display inquiry. This does not fulfill what was requested in the original complaint. I have no copy, nor any details, pertaining to the fraudulent application for credit. Citi states that they will notify -, however I request that they notify all - reporting agencies since it appears on all -, not just -. I also request a copy of the credit application and all other details as to the origin of said application.
