Early this morning I was contacted by an agent, who did not identify herself as a collector. I figured it out during the conversation. She was trying to collect a debt that I believe I have already paid. I am In the process of getting my reciepts in order. How ever I have had no payment agreement with this company even though the send me letters stating this. I have paid their clients directly. Many of there letters list the original creditor as Various Accounts. I know this is in violation of the FDCPA. This agent refused to let me talk and continued to talk over me. I believe her intent was to escalate the call. I found the call very disrespectful and degrading.
