Incorrect information on credit report Account terms Illinois

In -, I co-signed for a student loan for my nephew from a private bank which was not backed by - -. He graduated in - and unbeknownst to me was making payments sporadically. In -, I had to declare bankruptcy due to medical reasons and all my debs were discharged in by - - including my nephew 's student loans. My nephew stopped making even his sporadic payments and - came after me. I informed them and submitted to them my bankruptcy discharge papers to them. This did not satisfy them. They kept calling and harassing me. Eventually they sold off the loan and my nephew ended up paying off the loan in full in - yet - kept reporting on my credit report and impacting my credit score as a charge off. To add insult upon injury they provided my nephew with a letter but they refused to provide me with a letter saying my name is not on the account. I have tried to dispute the account on my credit profile but the idiotic incompetent agencies keep listing this debt as verified and accurate. They then advised me to call the number on the credit report. When I tried to call the number on the credit the number of course was disconnected!!! Equifax, - and - are totally useless.
