I received a call from citi stating that i had opened a credit card with them and I told them I had not so on - -, 2016 I sent them a letter requesting that they provide me with validation persuant to FDCPA meaning competent evidence bearing my signature showing that I have ( or ever had ) some contractual obligation with them and they did not provide this information. I also explained to them that any negative mark placed on my credit report for a debt that I did not owe was a violation of the FDCPA sec 807 15 USC 1962e : and I gave them 30 days to validate or delete this account and they did not nor did they mark it as disputed as required by the FCRA. I then sent them a second request on - -, 2016 to validate and provide proof of this account and to this day they have not done such they sold this account to a collection company called - - and I sent them a cease and desist letter because I do not have a financial obligation with them and they can not provide me with a signed contract stating that i owe this debt. I am requesting that CITI remove this account immediately from all - credit bureaus ( -, - and - ) as i have requested validation of this account and they are both unable to and unwilling to provide me with the proof that I am requesting, I am keeping records of my transactions with them and am willing to take them to court and file a defamation and a reporting of inaccurate information case in both federal and state court.
