Synchrony Financial Credit Card Complaint

APR or interest rate

Synchrony Financial Credit card department,

APR or interest rate Arizona

My wife and I have gotten ourselves into too much debt, and that is our responsibility, we understand that. We want to pay off our obligations rather than file Chapter - so we are trying to do credit counseling. We received letters from Synchrony Bank on acceptance to the program, and am shocked at their rates. We are asking for help, not a write-off, and they responded with 26.99 % for JC Penney, 26.24 % for Amazon, 23.15 % for Walmart, and 15 % for Care credit. These rates are penalty rate high, not assistance. In comparison - reduced the rate to 0.00 %, - to 5.90 %, - - to 9.90 %. No one else is anywhere close to what you are charging. To my knowledge this program is meant to keep Americans out of Bankruptcy, banks actively solicit enrollment and in the paperwork, it even states the purpose is partially to make sure creditors are re-paid. We are fine with that, but these rates are almost Usary in situations like this.
