Credit reporting company's investigation inadequate help over the phone
Equifax Credit reporting department,
Credit reporting company's investigation Inadequate help over the phone Florida
There were - incorrect payment histories on my Equifax report that I disputed. I received the disputed report and they all read reported correctly from the investigation ( I still dispute ). - of these accounts were closed and paid in full back in -/-/- and the other - were closed and paid in full -/-/-, thats 7 years for the first and almost 6 years for the other -. I called Equifax and spoke to supervisor - - and he told me since I disputed these accounts ( I still dispute the accuracy ) that they will remain on my record for another 10 years ( -/-/- ) that would be a combined total of 17 years. I told him that is against the Fair Credit Reporting Act and his response to me is that they can report as long as they want. This is not the law and is a total assault against me and my character. Please help me correct this over reaching company, as it is their responsibility to report the truth not make it up at their discretion. Thank You!!
