Unable to get credit report/credit score Problem getting report or credit score Indiana

my credit has been combined with my cousins who has the same name as me for some time now. I found out about this when I tried to refinance my home. at this time my credit was not locked and we were able to get thing resolved. I went to purchase a vehicle two months ago and the finance department says my credit is now locked. So now not only is my credit combined with my cousins but it is locked as well. I tried many times and wasted many hours on the phone with transunion. I even went as far as contacting a lawyer, he suggested sending a certified letter to transunion which I did more then 30 days ago I still have not heard anything. Anything you could do to help me would be greatly appreciated. Its frustrating right now because I can not apply for any type of credit at all.
