Credit reporting company's investigation Problem with statement of dispute Tennessee

after disputing a inaccuracy on my report, with proof attached equifax claimed they contacted the reporter and the reporter claimed the account was still open and in collection : see attached equifax responce. they did offer me a service for - to expedite my dispute. they reported to the cfpb they had not contacted the reporter. i submitted a copy of their response to me to the cfpb showing the falsehood. now im seeing a - point drop on my equifax score! Is this retribution? see other attachment.
