Describe what happened so we can understand the issue ... In - 2015, I closed an account with - because service was not available in the area I had recently moved to. Upon terminating the joint contract with - and -, I was told that my final bill was paid in full. In -, I received a notice from -, a debt collection company, notifying me that an account of mine had been placed with them for collection. When I called - to dispute, I was informed my failure to pay had already been reported to credit bureaus. When challenged, the - representatives said there was nothing they could do to reverse this. As of late -, - was cooperating with pending CFPB complaint. As of -, - claimed to have no knowledge of this debt ... at the same time, - - stated they no longer held the account and could not provide any information. On - -, I received another collections notice from Stellar Recovery. The repeated dodging of my complaints and shuffling of my account is making this issue next to impossible to solve.
