Citibank Credit card department,
Customer service / Customer relations Florida
A little less than a month ago, I signed up for a Best Buy Citibank Visa credit Card, and I was approved. This morning i tried to get a cash advance, so I called in. Citibank said it was perfectly fine, but i was declined twice ( which was their fault, i was given false information ). I then call back and they " activate '' cash advances which apprently were deactivated prior to this call. I was then able to get my advance. However, due to the repeated declines, citibank has deactivated my card. Here is where he problem comes in. I called in to reactivate it, and they refuse. They ask for my phone number, and i give it. They then tell me " that phone is not under your name, it can not be verified. '' That is completely false, this cell phone number is under my name and has been like that for 3 years. I live alone and only have a cell phone, so there is no other way for me to verify my account to their - satisfaction. I need help because I live in florida and just went through hurricane - and i am in dire need of this card, as i am low on cash because of the storm. This is completely their fault, as my card has been deactivated due to their careless employees feeding me false information. Furthermore, it is their fault that my number can not be verified as well because my phone is and always has been under my name, and I have no other phone to contact them with.
