Installment loan Managing the loan or lease New Jersey

In -, -, after just purchasing my home, I bought new furniture from - Furniture through an installment plan, with a credit card financed by Wells Fargo Bank. The agreement was that if paid in full with a year, there would be no interest assessed. Unfortunately for me I lost my job in - of - with the only income coming from from my - husband 's - check. In spite of this, I have never not made my payment within 30 days. I was dismayed and outraged when I looked on my statement in - - to find that the $4000.00 in payments i had made on this account was dissolved by the $2500.00 in interest charges deducted from my account, now placing my account in a $7300.00 deficit. Wells Fargo deducted in excess of $1200.00 in - and - of - as interest charges and when I called them to protest this, they berated me and told me if I paid $5300.00 immediately they would waive the fee. I believe the interest charged on my account is usury, illegal and contemptible!! Wells Fargo is too big a bank to inflict such harsh charges on people struggling to make a life and pay their bills on time.
