Against - Citibank/Credit card online service Details - From last 8+ years, I am regular citi credit card customer. Few years ago, I opened Citi bank account and while registering bank account online, I was asked to create new online account to add Citibank account to my existing profile. it was n't easy process as simply adding to my existing citi credit cards online account. While doing that, I lost access to the existing account and they asked me to register new account and add bank and credit card info there, which I did. Few months ago, I closed my citibank account but 2-3 weeks ago, my online access to the citi.com was stopped as it asked me to enter some banking information which considering I have closed bank account for a while I could n't provide, so I called their customer service. Again, they provided only resolution to solve this is by closing that online access, create/register another account with new loginID and register my accounts again. I simply asked to see if they can raise issue with their IT department to solve this as I have not seen similar problem with other banking companies, which CITI representative told me that they ca n't do that, and re-registering account with newer ID is the only resolution. So I simply asked them to provide this in writing that " citi ca n't solve this problem at this stage and only way to resolve this is by creating new account '', but again they refused to provide me anything in writing either. I spoke 2 level in their management chain and got the same response. I really do n't know who to complain or write about this. I only want Citi to stand behind their words but seems like they are unwilling to do so.
