Other (i.e. phone, health club, etc.) Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt resulted from identity theft Mississippi
Carter-Young INC said I signed a lease in - for the University -. I never signed a lease there. I was living and going to school in -. I have not been back to - since - of - when someone stole my social security number and tried to claim me on their taxes. I have submitted documentation to them showing them that I never signed and I was living in - and going to school here. They still refused to dismiss the debt as identity theft. The credit bureaus do not want to take this fraudulent information off my credit after I have disputed it multiple times. All Carter-Young has sent me was a lease that was missing signatures but on the very last page it had the initials - typed in. How can that document even be classified as legitimate. The key was never picked up for the apartment and no one never moved in. I want this fraudulent information removed immediately. Also, -, I co-signed that apartment in - of -. I never lived there just helped a friend out who was homeless and trying to get on her feet with her - year old son. I was NEVER informed by her or the company that she was evicted. I never knew anything about that eviction so that information is also fraudulent and I would like it removed from all three of my credit and tenant history report.
