- - - sent me to collections with the company -. I disputed this because I had already paid and settled this balance with the original company, - -. The first dispute of # - was completed and I was told I must still pay. I filed a second dispute # -. On the of filing the second dispute, I had also called collector, - to find out what had happened. They stated that they had sent this to Equifax as " deleted. '' Today, I checked on the status of my second dispute online and it showed a date of completion of - but with no status or no results, nor did I receive a letter from equifax saying my investigation was complete. So then I called equifax and spoke with -. - and I contacted - and spoke with - - at -. - informed us that this was deleted from my record on - but will take 5-45 days to reflect that. I 'm filing a complaint my because this is not a reasonable amount of time and adversely affects me on something I paid at least a year ago. I 'm also writing to make sure this really gets removed from my credit report. In the digital age, this should n't take so long. Something needs to improve.
