Citibank Credit card department,
I paid the " New Balance '' on my card 4 days prior to the due date. I was assessed an interest charge even though the statement indicates that no interest would be charge if the " New Balance '' was paid by the due date. I called to attempt getting the charge reversed and was given an excuse that the New Balance had to be paid in full for 2 consecutive months in order not to incur an interest charge. That is not what is stipulated in the statement. Furthermore, I believe it is an unfair practice as all other cards I have ever had do not charge interest when a balance is paid in full by the due date.
