Citibank Credit Card Complaint

Other fee

Citibank Credit card department,

Other fee Texas

Applying for the Citi / AAdvantage Executive Card I called to ask when the Annual Fee was due. I was told it was due at the 6 month mark. So, I applied and received the Citi / AAdvantage Card. On the first statement I received the annual fee of $450.00. I immediately called them to tell them of the problem but, all they offered was $50.00 off the $450.00. I told them what I had been told earlier but, I just got a " stock answer ''. I paid off the card all but the $450.00 annual fee and then closed it. They sent me a letter saying the card is closed but they will still be charging me the fee plus accruing interest each month as well as alerting the credit bureaus. I feel I was tricked into getting the card and now being bullied. How can they charge a fee for something they have not yet provided? What 's more, something I will never receive? With interest on top of that. And threaten to wreck my credit if I do n't pay up. -. I 'm not paying for something I did not and will not receive.
