Citibank Credit card department,
I have the BestBuy credit card managed by Citi. I have had the card for almost 10 years now. I have never not paid the full amount every month. I used to pay it off every week, but they changed their stance several years ago so that 4 payments in a month was considered fraud and kept locking my account. Now I am being told that paying off the credit card every month for what I owe $ -+ is also considered fraud and they have locked my account to prevent further fraud. I 'm told that I will not be allowed access to use my card for 8 days to protect me from the fraud I committed by paying my balance in full every month from the same account every month with realatively the same amount every month. In this instance I made a payment on -/-/-, according to my bank Citigroup received payment on -/-/-. I have called on -/-/- & - and they confirm that they do have the payment, but because I paid the full amount that I owed, from the same bank account I 've used for years, they have locked my account for 8 days as fraud precaution. I was out of town on a trip during this time frame and being locked out of my card without reason is extremely inconvenient. I 'm told that I should be happy that I am receiving this protection because somehow it protects me. I believe Citi is purposely restricting me because they only make money off my transactions and not from interest charges to me, which I believe is unfair.
