On - I opened - CD 's in the amount of $200000.00 each with - in - NY . CD 's term was13 months and were automatically renewable. The CD certificates were placed in my safe deposit box in the same bank. These CD 's were not redeemed, were discovered when I went to close my accounts and safe deposit ( which had not been opened in years ) box at what is now Wells Fargo Bank and discovered the - Cd certificates, submitted them to the bank for redemption and was told that they had no records going back that far, and refused my claim. The issue is compounded by the mergers of - - into Wachovia in - and the merger of Wachovia into Wells Fargo in -.I believe the CD 's were in force at the time of both mergers and represent a debt obligation the must be honored by Wells Fargo. My CD records may have been lost in the mergers. Wells Fargo agrees that my original CD certificates are evidence that I opened the accounts ( copies of the CD 's will be forwarded ), and has not been able to provide any evidence that
