Suntrust Mortgage is now sending out monthly statements to consumers that show balance and payment activity through the - of the month. Any payments they receive between the - and - of the month are not shown as paid on time. As a result, consumers are sent billing advices for the next month which state that a double payment is due when in reality it is not. This practice is deceiving and trying to shorten the grace period of 15 days which the Mortgage Agreement allows for.
