The debt was settled some time ago with the original company. They wrote off the debt and submitted a tax paper for funds that I now owed taxes on. I do n't have that information anymore. The tax papers have since been destroyed as the tax papers were over 7 years old. The business is closed. The debt was bought by another firm claiming to be Advanced Credit Solutions. In order to get them off the phone and they did not give me time to find any information stating the debt was settled ... I gave them an amount I would settle for and they sent me a paper for me to sign that stated I owed the debt and it was settled for an amount. I never signed the paper nor returned the information. I called them back on the number they gave me and it was a false number and part of a scam number. I reported them to my bank to stop payment immediately. They could not give me a true number. I refuse to pay for something I had in the past taken care of. They are playing on old debts that people ca n't remember.


- dispute department. They lie and prey on old debts that no one can prove if they took care of the debt. They have many alerts and information on scams and I know they recorded my call so they should have that as proof I was denying the debt in the beginning and their strong arm techniques to get money from me. Even documents they sent me had different numbers on them from the numbers they gave me to call them. I think if you research the debts they are trying to collect on, they are debts from companies that no longer exist. Thanks for listening.
