I was sent to collection for a vet bill. I never had the opportunity to resolve the debt as it was sent to the incorrect address. After noticing it on my credit report I contacted the debt collection agency for - reasons. 1 is the amount is incorrect and 2 I had made a payment towards this bill. I have a copy of the original bill which was $420.00. I was put into collection for $660.00. I requested several times for a breakdown of this difference in the amount owed. I never received the breakdown. I was told to allow at least - weeks to receive it as they have to receive it from the original creditor. I was also told if they do not receive it within 30 days the debt would legally have to be cancelled. I attempted to contact the debt collector again the last 2 days and they will not take my call. I am very upset over this as the amount being reported is wrong and my payment I made is not being reported as well. It has been well over 30 days. The original creditor is - - Hospital. The collection agency is Capital accounts ... .acct # - -.
