I visited the Wells Fargo Bank location at - - - in - to request a duplicate debit card for my checking account. Without my approval or authorization a new checking account was opened under my name. I work two jobs and was unable to revisit the branch for many months. Between the time I originally visited the branch at - in - and the time I was able to stop at another Wells Fargo Bank branch at - - - - -, the account that was opened without my permission incurred - in fees. I provided to the banker at the - & - - - branch of Wells Fargo printouts of the history of the account showing I NEVER used the account. I also indicated I did not authorize the new account to be opened in my name and did not want the account. The banker took the printout to who I was told was a manager and a portion of the fees were refunded but not all of the fees.
