Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
I have had a credit card with Wells Fargo for several years. When I first got the card, I had a 9 % interest rate. The company raised my interest rate to 17.4 % currently, antold me that it was due to a late payment. I went back thru several years of payments and never found documentation of them receiving a payment late. I complained to the better business bureau, and all that occurred was that Wells Fargo sent a document stating that I was paying the higher rate with no proof of late payment. The balance of my credit card has been quite high over the past couple of years due to my involvement in a civil law suit that has cost more than $20000.00 in attorney 's fees. Subsequently, I have been charged an inordinate amount of interest on this account and I did not agree to such a rate, nor did I pay Wells Fargo late, thus justifying their increased charges. I have documentation of my timely payments over the past couple of years as well as copies of my complaint to the -. My credit rating is over - and there is no record of my paying my credit card late on my credit report either. Thank you, - -
