Amex Credit card department,
After receiving an email directly to my personal email account inviting me to apply for a Delta Amex Gold Card in exchange for - points if $1000.00 was spent in the first three months, I read through the terms and found no indication that I would be ineligible for the - signing bonus. Even though I have years ago owned a Delta Gold Card, I found no indication that I would be ineligible for these points. With an upcoming trip to - in - 2016, I signed up for the card and made haste in spending $1000.00. Spending $1000.00 in a month is not usual practice for me. Additionally, in spending that $1000.00 on my Delta Gold card, I neglected to spend any funds on my Amex Gold card ( I am a loyal Amex member and therefore have more than one Amex card ), thereby forfeiting any potential membership rewards points that could have been earned in the same period in which I was spending $1000.00 on my Delta card.
for these points, making my travel plans impossible. Furthermore, as I have struggled to be able to book this trip, despite the odds stacked against me, my generous family members have offered to help by putting points in my account, which I am also informed is impossible. I am asking today for the - points offered to me in the marketing offer I received when I applied for the Delta Gold Amex. I am simply trying to get what I was promised. I am disappointed by these fraudulent, misleading, and exploitive practices.
