Non-federal student loan Getting a loan Can't qualify for a loan Georgia
I have a private student loan with Wells Fargo. I am the borrower and my Father is the co-signer on the loan and he filed Chapter - Bankruptcy on - -, -. However, I continued to make payments on the account. I tried to make a payment on-line one day but was unsuccessful. I contacted the bank but they would not talk to me. As a result, my Mother contacted the bank on -/-/- to inquire why I could not make any payments. We discovered that they had charged-off the account. The Bank charged-off the account after the bankruptcy filing date. As a result, the bank discontinued communication with me and my Father. On -/-/-, we spoke with - -, who agreed to remove the charge-off status and that the account would be suppressed until after settlement of the bankruptcy. The Bankruptcy has not been discharged. In addition, they are receiving Trustee payments. My complaint is that they have reported my account as a charge-off which has had a derogatory effect on my credit and I 'm not able to obtain additional funds for - school for it appears that I 've defaulted on a student loan.
