She refused to tell me, and said " you must know '' or something to that effect. I told her I had no idea. I did know it is a debt collector, but I do not know for what debt. I would like to settle my debts, but I do not provide SSN information over the phone from people using their first names only and calling to discuss " a personal matter ''. She knew it was me because she must have caller ID and addressed me by name when I called. She refused to identify what the nature of the call was, which I did figure out. She refused to tell me anything without having the last - digits of my SSN. She said something to the effect that " I should know what this is about ''. No, I can not read minds.
