Citibank Credit card department,
I received a Costco-branded Citi-issued visa card as part of my membership, Costco having changed its affiliation from - to Citi-visa. Upon receipt of the documentation, I immediately sent Citi on - -, - a letter seeking to opt out of the mandatory requirement that all disputes be submitted to binding arbitration. When I received the actual credit card, I reached out to the Citi-Visa representatives to seek confirmation that my opt-out letter was received and acknowledged. I did this because of any earlier issue in - wherein Citi failed to acknowledge an opt-out of binding arbitration for - of its issued master cards, and when they refused to acknowledge my written opt out, I terminated that account. When I was told that I had sent my Costco Citi-visa opt out letter to the wrong - - - I again sent a letter on - - to the - - I was now directed to and upon further inquiry, was told that my opt out had not been received and would not be acknowledged. I sent a third opt-out letter on - - which to date has not been acknowledged.. I was promised by numerous representatives that I would receive some written communication advising me of my status but to date, none has been received. I have not activated the account as I do not want to be bound by onerous terms and conditions of mandatory arbitration from which I have sought exclusion. Costco only takes - as a credit card and their branded - affords rebates for Costco and other purchases, which I am not able to enjoy because of the actions of Citi.
