Other bank product/service Using a debit or ATM card California
A bank in - - charges - each time a customer goes to an ATM other than theirs. They only have - ATMS, so this is extremely awkward. This is probably the case with other banks. They just got $5.00 of my money this month, and last month. This is a fine bank, but really? Also, not that I have recently bounced any checks, but in the past when I did they charge a hefty fee, which is the case with any large bank, especially if they pay the fee. In order to avoid such situations, I have gone to Payday Lenders, who charge me less than the cascade of fees that would result if I did n't have them. So I would also like to give you an idea, that the big banks could just cover the fees and charge a - % fee. For instance, once I was charged $31.00 for the bank covering - cents! Would have been better if they had charged me - cents for that transaction. This then led to a cascade of checks that bounced. So the banks should be required to cover bounced checks ( within a reasonable range ), but not at these huge interest rates, because interest is what these fees amount to. Then payday lenders would be out of business automatically. In the meantime, to avoid the squeeze of the big banks, payday lenders are necessary. As I said, I am happy with my bank, but just want to have these changes in the law.
