Citibank Credit card department,
Delinquent account Massachusetts
This is a follow up to case # - - - 2016 I am attaching - docs from Citibank dated - -, 2016, these arrives in an envelope in - 2016 with no postmark on the envelope. I assume this is another tactic by Citibank to set false settlement deadlines that can not be met because of how 1st class business mail is processed. The first doc says my hardship request ( they offered last year ) has been denied. In view this is another ant-consumer tactic designed to look genuine ( offer reduced interest and lower principal payments ) then when you apply it is denied. The second doc is an'offer ' for a settlement due to be paid in - 2016, which if they accept the basis of my hardship ( reduced monthly income due to delay of Veterans - pension ) - clearly with reduced income I have no ability to make a lump sum payment. So this is a non offer. What is the next step for me to take? I want to resume making reduced payments and avoid having my credit rating further damaged by the consequences of the delay in getting my deceased husbands final pension disbursement from the VA in -. Thank you and I hope this helps other Veteran families coping with the delay of their - payments.
