I have a Macy 's credit card. I paid off my balance on - -, 2016 and then was charged an interest payment on - -, 2016 - $2.00. I tried to use my card on - - at a Macy 's store but was informed that my card did not work. This was embarrassing. I called and found out that my account had a balance of $6.00. I went online to view my account history and saw that I was being charged $2.00 a month in interest on my - balance account since -. I sent in an email requesting that they remove the interest fees and asking why I was being charged interest if my balance was -. As of - -, I now have a balance of $8.00 on my account. Macys credit card is continuously charging interest on - account balances and revoking customer privileges from using their card due to them trying to get more money from their customers. This is a form of UDAAP. because it is unfair for the company to charge customers fees on - account balances.
