I was extremely surprised and upset when I checked my credit report in - 2016. There is a mark by Monterey Financial Services - - -, -, California -. It is in regards to a disputed contract with - - over a misrepresented vacation package. I disputed the mark with - and the collection mark remains and does note that it has been disputed. The problem is Monterey NEVER notified me in writing that I was going into collections. I NEVER had a chance to dispute the collection attempt until AFTER it was already on my report. I did notify Monterey in - and they ignored my grievance, I still have not received a collection notice from Monterey.
