Incorrect information on credit report Personal information Virginia

On - -, I applied for a second mortgage and all was great. On - -, I was informed by my credit union that the credit reporting agency told my bank that I now have - social security numbers associated with my name. I then began the process of having this matter corrected but can not get it done with the countless faxes, copies and emails and phone calls. Equifax seems to be the company causing this, the other - companies seem to have corrected this problem. I and my wife have now been denied credit on - separate accounts. Also, they refuse to give me any case numbers to make matters worse when I try to discuss this matter with them. I appreciate any help that you can give me to correct this horrific situation.
