What happened and is continuing to happen is that Wells Fargo issues secured credit cards for those with no credit or those hoping to repair their credit. With this offer is often an explicit promise of " graduating '' or getting the $300.00 minimum deposit returned and being upgraded to an unsecured credit card, often in " one year '' or less. Well it has been a year and a half and every time I call Wells Fargo to inquire about my graduation, I keep getting the run around, which initially meant - of 2016, when I called them back in -. I feel that this product and its many selling point are misleading and deceptive. The bank seems keen on earning interest on ALL those minimum required deposits but less willing to be transparent about when and how the graduation will take place.
