Citibank Credit card department,
I have a Citibank Home Depot credit card. I recently paid off my balance and a WEEK later, the payment had already cleared from my bank and I went back to the store to make another purchase and my card was declined. I called the company to see why since I had only tried spending $60.00 and my available balance on my card was $500.00. The customer service person said that my account was put on hold because I made more than the minimum balance with my payment. After arguing with the person on the phone they finally allowed my purchase to go through and said the hold would be removed in two day. Today I went back to the store ( 2 days later ) and tried to make another purchase. The card was declined yet again and the Home Depot worker called and the lady would not allow a purchase becaus the card was STILL on hold and they " may '' take it off hold tonight. I am going to call the company and make a complaint with them as well but I know they will not care because the ladies at Home Depot said this happens all the time. This is absolutely rediciulous. I 'm never late on my bill and should not be penalized because I paid off my balance.
