I attempted to pay my HSBC - ( Account - ) back in - 2016 via online payment. Thier system was down and I was unable to make the payment after several attempts. I managed to get through and call my payment in. I was refunded late fees due to their system being offline. Later, back in early -, I discovered that they had reported my account delinquent and had been reported to the various credit agencies. They had canceled my account without my knowledge. I tried to get them to remove the negative report, but they insisted they were not at fault - even though they had previously admitted it was their fault when they refunded the late fees. This has caused a series of financial difficulties including a higher car insurance premium and a higher mortgage loan rate.
