I was previously married to -. We divorced in -. Both - and I are -, and we carefully went through our financial matters, and dealt with all issues amicably. On any debt that had a balance, it was addressed in our divorce settlement. We were aware that there was a Home Depot account ( - ), and we looked at the statements. The statement had his name only. Based upon the statement information, we concluded that the account was in his name, and I therefore, did not require him to close the account. I opened a separate Home Depot account in my name at the time, - I have continued to use the account, and the account has been maintained in good standing. It is not showing on my - credit report. I can provide account statements as necessary. Account -. When I applied for the new account, there was no mention by Home Depot that I already had another account with them. When I setup my online account access, the account was not present.

In -/-/-, he entered into a settlement agreement with a collection agency and has been paying this off $25.00 a month. Citibank nor the collection agency ever contacted me related to any issue on the account. Citibank and Home Depot have had my contact information. As you can see from my credit report, I have maintained several accounts with Citi over the years, and I have a current Home Depot account which I had during that time period. I was completely unaware of the issues until I applied for a re-finance loan on my - - - home in - -. I called Citibank, and they would not provide information on the account as I was not the primary cardholder. They transferred me to their delinquent accounts department, and I offered to resolve the account. They told me I was not the primary account holder. I have tried to challenge the account with the credit bureaus, but they state that it was a joint account. In summary, I do not believe that it is correct that this should show as continued negative credit on my account. Citibank did not properly display that this was a joint account on the Home Depot statements. There was nothing to indicate that it was a joint account. My name was not present. Secondly, when there was an issue they did not contact me regarding the delinquency. If they had, I would have done something to resolve it. When I did find out about it, I contacted them, and they would not let me resolve it at that time. This issue is completely beyond my control, but it continues to negatively impact my credit which is otherwise outstanding. I am a CPA and I need my credit history for my employment.
