Wells Fargo & Company Bank account or service department,
Checking account Using a debit or ATM card Minnesota
On - - I noticed - unauthorized debits from my Wells Fargo checking account. I immediately contacted the fraud department by phone to report the unauthorized activity. The unauthorized debits were to a company called - - in - California. I asked Wells Fargo to freeze any activity on the debit card and to issue a new card. Wells Opened a fraud claim in accordance with the provisions of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. After 10 business Wells Fargo issued a provisional credit in the amount of $ -- the total of the - $250.00 simultaneous debits in question. On -/-/- I received notice the investigation was completed and they withdrew the $500.00 provisional credit. I am attaching : Bank statement showing the unauthorized withdrawal Copy of Wells acknowledgment of my claim Copy of Wells Fargo denial notice of claim denial I believe Wells Fargo obviously has no basis for denying my claim as due under of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. I am concerned that this denial is evidence of a systemic policy of denying legal claims. Please investigate. I work as credit-financial counselor and am more aware than the typical citizen of laws protecting against such obvious attempts to deny account holders the protections afforded to all account holders.
