PayPal is holding onto funds for a transaction that was fulfilled more than 2 weeks ago. On - - I sold a laptop on eBay and shipped it using - the next day for a 24 hour delivery. By Wednesday the buyer had the laptop and at that time PayPal should have released the funds. Instead they claim that they did not receive a valid tracking number, which is patently false and which I attempted to help fix by re-sending them the tracking details -3 times. The package was sent via - : - with - number -. It was provided to PayPal on the date of shipping. When I did not receive the funds after 7 days, I attempted to escalate the case directly with PayPal and again sent them the tracking details which they claimed were not valid ( several times ). I tried again escalating the case but I only ever received automated messages telling me the tracking details were invalid or other irrelevant or erroneous facts such as claiming my account was too new. My account with PayPal & eBay has been in constant use with only positive feedback for more than a decade. It is my belief they are holding onto funds, in this case $600.00, for longer periods in order to generate interest while they hold it for more than 21 days.
