Citibank Credit card department,
I was excited to become a member of Citi - Signature with a Costco Anywhere - ( R ) card. I am happy to take part in the higher cash-back for gasoline from the old Costco credit card. The card started on - -, 2016 and I set-up my account online on - -, 2016. That is when I entered my bank account number for the auto-pay. I am also appreciative of the very nice letter that was sent to me returning my late payment fee. The problem that occurred is that the auto-pay sign-up did not occur properly. The next problem is that I never received a paper statement. The first paper statement I received was - -, 2016. The company called the first payment late after 17 day of me becoming a member after the - -, 2016 start date. The first bill was due without a statement being mailed. I was waiting for this statement to find due dates. Now that the auto-pay is set up probably ( Confirmation # : -, - ), the first auto-pay will occur only after the - -, 2016 was missed ( " Your first AutoPay payment will be made on : - '' ). I have since changed the auto-pay date to be three days ahead of the due date ( Confirmation # : - ). I am being charge interest for what I have already charged and will be charged interest for the next two billing cycles. With this policy, I will have to pay every week to keep the interest down. My account is now up to date ( paid on - -, 2016 the past due amount ) and I just made an early payment ( Payment Confirmation : - ) to meet the - -, 2016 payment and keep the interest down.
