i went to my bank to inquire about my current credit card. A personal visa with one year no interest. I mentioned that I used the card for business and was told by the banker - that if i apply for a business visa i could transfer my remaining balance from personal card to the new business card interest free for another 12 months. I reluctantly agreed because I have very little experience with credit cards but it would be nice to separate business and personal fiances. I was approved for - dollar limit card that i did not use or activate till about a month ago i went to another local bank branch to inquire about the transfer and was told there would be a - % fee based on the amount i was transferring. with


yesterday being the last day of the month, and interest free on the personal card was ending. I entered a Wells Fargo branch in - Co. to transfer accounts and was told it could only happen if the personal account was from another bank. To say the least i was confused. so i called the service number on the back of the card. after explaining the same up to this point. I was told that transferring balances was impossible unless i was willing to pay - % fee and 24 % interest on remaining balance. A different story from each banker! I was told the initial banker ( - ) sold me the wrong product and she should have sold me a line instead of a card, what ever that meant, and that she would set that up if i like but it would take a while and she did not sound to confident in what she was even saying. So i asked to speak with a supervisor. when the supervisor got on the phone he ran around the subject for a few minutes after hearing my story. He offered some condolences asked what he could do for me and then the phone was mysteriously disconnected..surprising..or not.. so an hour later and with a nice manner and com attitude i phoned the Wells Fargo visa number back and requested a supervisor directly. i told my hole story again has listed above and was immediately assured i have the right person and the buck stops with her. she apologized for the situation and put me on hold to research. when she got back with me. i was told there is no way to transfer the balance from one account to the other and she was truly sorry. during our discussion i told her that i would not have used the card in such a way if i had not been lied to and that i thought canceling the business account would be a good idea. needless to say. i would have drastically changed my spending had i known that i was lied to and never would have even applied for this card if not cow-erst in to it. and would have not made curtain purchases knowing that i was n't receiving what i was told. the buck stops with me, final solution was to close the business account which she offered up very quickly and without hesitation and that corporate will talk to the banker and thanked me for bring it to there attention. so here i sit, a closed account and maybe some one will talk to the initial banker about it. i truly feel taken advantage of and fraud ed by Wells Fargo.
