Citibank Credit card department,
I am a member of Costco Wholesale. On - -, I received a credit card from Citibank because Costco is no longer teaming with - -. I contacted Citibank, Costco, and - -. Because - -, as authorized by Costco, sold their entire portfolio to Citibank, - - refused to cancel my account before the final transfer date of - -. When I contacted Citibank, I was told that they would not cancel my account because they purchased the portfolio through Costco. Costco 's General Manager informed me that I had to work directly through the credit card companies. How is this legal? I do not want to give - - or Citibank my business.
