Synchrony Financial Credit Card Complaint

Credit card protection / Debt protection

I had a - Bank - - card for - years. In -, Synchony Bank purchased all of the - - - - accounts. In - -, Synchony Bank increased all rates from 14.29 % to 29.99 %. I paid off my Synchony - Card account in - - and applied for, and obtained, a new - Bank - - card. Previously, - would notify me via cell telephone, text message and email if there were any questionable charges to my account. A very valuable, and appreciated, service. Since - -, after paying off my Synchony - - Card account, I have not made any charges to that account. I just learned that improper, and unauthorized charges have been made to my idle Synchony - - account dating back 30 days. An automated voicemail message was left on an old, unused home phone line. No cell phone call/message. No text message. No email. All the venues that I was accustomed to as a - card holder, were abandoned by Synchony Bank. I must now dispute and investigate - transactions that were initiated over a period of 2-weeks in the state of Florida ( as I am a Pennsylvania resident ). I believe that the poor protections and efforts on the part of Synchony Bank should be reported to other consumers. Although Synchony Bank assumed all - - - customer accounts, they abandoned the consumer protections and communications that were previously extended to the - customers.
