Amex Credit card department,
I disputed the purchase with Am/Ex as the item I ordered was n't as described in the - ad ( - - $50.00 ordered and $20.00 received ). Item ID : - Transaction ID : -. Since the merchant refused to reply to my message I returned the item and received confirmation from - that it was received ( please see the attached info ). The info was provided to Am/Ex however it refused to provide a full refund and instead it made misleading statements about the case progress and requirements. Am/Ex claims that the purchase was refunded while fraudulently claiming the $20.00 refund from a different merchant and different transaction as part of the settlement. It also made several misleading statements about the status of dispute and it did n't bother to review the info provided as evidence for the claim. Instead it took the evidence of the delivery of fraudulent transaction as justification for its conclusion of the case. Am/Ex also has failed to provide the copy of the response it was sent from the merchant as promised verbally it will do so. I need it in order to file a criminal complaint against the merchant here in IL as the - different IDs ( entity/personal ) has been provided in due course of the transaction ( selling, shipping and return ). In this case it appears that Am/Ex is aiding and abetting fraud.
