Wells Fargo Bank was selling at auction a repossessed house located at - - -, -, VT. I was the winning bidder on - - through -. I was given a settlement date of - -, 2016, signed the required contract, and submitted the required earnest deposit. Each stage of the operation was handled by a different contact. Starting 5 days before settlement, I contacted my contact and asked what was needed to settle - I received silence at first and then was told Wells Fargo had not downloaded the title and they could not settle. I asked where that left us and they said they would settle as soon as everything was in place. As soon as I asked if this was a breach of contract, I no longer received replies to my emails or phone calls. Then on - -, I received an email from a new outfit - -, telling me they were ready to settle but I needed an attorney. I hired an attorney, she contacted them and has received NO response and is frustrated herself - at - per hour! They are well over a month from closing date and - nothing!
