Wells Fargo & Company Credit card department,
To whom it may concern, On -/-/2016 I setup a one time on line payment of $300.00 to make a payment on my credit card which is a Wells Fargo card. The payment was scheduled for -/-/2016 with a due date of -/-/2016. I logged into my account -/-/2016 to confirm the transaction and noticed Well Fargo withdraw $600.00 from my checking account. Transactions - and -. I called and spoke with - - and was told Wells Fargo can not do anything until the transactions post and that I should call -/-/2016 to receive my $300.00. I asked how did this happen to which she replied, I do n't know, but can see that I setup just - $300.00 transaction. The horror began when I called back on -/-/2016.
inadvertently given me $300.00 the funds would have been immediately withdrawn from my account that day. I explained I need the money to pay electric, water, phone, insurances bills etc. etc. - reply was there is NO other option she could afford me and that I have to wait. That alone is atrocious. Being a husband and father of - children, the cash was truly needed. With today 's technology I 'm sure the money could have been returned immediately. Or perhaps all banks work in this fashion, I do n't know. Essentially, Wells Fargo, in my opinion stole $300.00 from my banking account without my permission, have no reasonable explanation as to how it happen and I have no option but to wait up to 10 days for my money. I placed my trust in Wells Fargo and was deceived as they basically turned around and as I feel stole from my account and forced - option down my throat, wait for your money. Wells Fargo blatantly took my $300.00 from my account and I 'm forced to wait up to ten days for Wells Fargo to return my money. I guess you can call it a small loan. If Wells Fargo did this to - people over a ten day span which is easy to do, for I 'm proof of that, that would amount to a small loan of >= $1,000,000. Imagine what you could do with that amount of money of a 10 day period. I believe this practice is unscrupulous and turns innocent people such as myself into victims. Under no circumstances should this have ever happened and to hear Wells Fargo explain they have no reasonable explanation is absurd. I 'm writing this letter asking the banking committee to investigate this matter and put an end to this ridiculous practice.
