Delbert Services Debt collection department,
I do not know Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt was paid Virginia
I lost my job in - -. I have to take a loan with the company Western Sky in order to keep my apartment. I did n't understand finances at the time. Their interest rate was over 100 %. It also stipulated that my payments of over $ -/month would go towards the interest rather than the principle. The loan was only for $6000.00. I have been paying for 4 years spending several thousand dollars above the principle but not clearing the debt. Western Sky claimed to be a tribal lender, however the company collecting the debt was -. Now Delbert Services is collecting payments at a lower rate which they had me resign a contract for, about a year later if I recall correctly. I have just recently heard that these companies have already had several lawsuits against them, including in my home state of Virginia. In those, to my understanding, it was determined that their loan terms and collections practices were predatorial and illegal. I believe that it was determined that any loans signed for by those companies prior to -/-/- were ruled that only the principle of the loan had to be repaid by the recipient of the loan and any amounts over said principle were to be repaid to the signatory. I do not know how to make myself known as a member of that class to receive restitution. Due to this loan, I can not pay other bills, nor do I have money to buy food for myself and my - dependant. I can not maintain my car, so will likely lose my current job as well. Yet they are still automatically deducting their payments from my account via ACH, which my bank says it can not stop. Please assist and advise me in any way possible.
