Amex Credit card department,

Billing disputes Colorado

This is a follow-up to Case Number -. I spoke just now with a customer service representative with American Express, in response to an email requesting that I call. The issue ( AGAIN ) was the amount allegedly due on my Amex Blue CASH card, now cancelled by Amex. I explained ( AGAIN ) about the - proofs of payment I mailed in - - and again in - -. I told her the results of the - investigation : " everything is fine. You may use your card. '' I made a charge in -/-/-. In -/-/-, proving that I had been able to use my credit card because the question about the missing payment from -/-/- had been resolved. The customer service representative told me : 1. " There are no notes in your file about any investigation. There are no case numbers, no dates of investigations. '' 2. " According to your file, you have not made a payment on this account since -/-/-. '' 3. " There are no notes in your file about any refund check. '' I am completely outraged by the incompetence of American Express. They have the nerve to harass me about a grossly overdue payment, but have erased all evidence of the investigations and the documents I submitted for - investigations. I should not be made to suffer because of their incompetence.
