Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed debt is not mine
Bayview Loan Servicing, LLC Debt collection department,
I do not know Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine California
My ex-wife & I rec 'd a disaster relief loan in - ( - ). We divorced in -. My ex was awarded the property & was court ordered to refinance to remove me from all existing/future debt associated with the property. The property was refinanced in - and multiple times thereafter. I am unsure when but ( according to Bayview ) my ex filed bankruptcy and in -, Bayview Financial aka Bayview Loan Services added my ex-wife 's social security number as my alias & reported me as delinquent for the debt. I disputed the report with Bayview and was told because I was on the original loan, regardless of the court order the debt was mine. I noticed that the debt was gone from my - report ( I monitor regularly ) so I assumed that Bayview corrected their mistake. My current wife and I are now trying to buy a house. We recently discovered that Bayview is reporting me as delinquent, under - different accounts and with my ex-wife 's social security number. When I called the credit reporting agencies I was told that because the company reported me
My wife and I have been communicating with and providing Bayview with everything they have asked for/need to remove all Bayview reporting, including my ex-wife 's social security number, from my credit. We told each Bayview representative that we do not need my credit report fixed right this minute - what we need is a letter from Bayview confirming that Bayview wrongfully reported me as delinquent & is working to fix the problem. To date, Bayview refuses to provide me with the letter I need to secure an affordable home loan. One representative confirmed that my case seemed odd and told me that my file was being sent to the escalation team. My wife has been calling endlessly trying to get answers from Bayview. I provided several written approvals giving Bayview permission to talk with my wife. However, some times she was told they ca n't talk to her and other times she was told " I do n't have access to another representative 's records. '' Some reps could find the delinquent account and some could not. Every time we called, we would get the run around. My wife finally called Bayview 's attorney and we were provided with a name and direct telephone number. That person provided us with someone else 's info. Unfortunately, every time we call we are asked for some type of proof to support our claim. First Bayview 's escalation dept told us to file a credit dispute. When we explained that all we needed was a letter from Bayview clearing me of the debt ( we could fix my credit later ) we were told something along the lines of " Dispute it & I will see what I can do. '' When we called for an update, we were asked for the divorce decree. They already had a copy so we had to produce a copy of the - Quit Claim deed. We provided the document to Bayview within hours. We also provided property reports. We called for updates and were told to provide a copy of credit report ( s ) showing that Bayview was " allegedly '' reporting me as delinquent. The phone calls continued, us always having to call them only to be told " we 're working on it ''. Additionally, every time we spoke with the Bayview rep we were explicitly clear that we are trying to buy a house and all we need is a letter from Bayview indicating that the delinquent reporting is wrong, my ex 's social security number is not mine & they are working on fixing their mistakes. We waited 6 days for a status update. When my wife called Bayview today they told her that the credit report was redacted & difficult to read. My wife explained that the redacted info was hers. Bayview confirmed that what we provided was sufficient however the person " in charge '' of providing us with the letter we are asking for is unavailable.
