Equifax Credit reporting department,
Improper use of my credit report Report improperly shared by CRC California
Dear Credit Reporting Bureaus : I have been monitoring my credit scores weekly for about two years now and I am " stumped '' at the constant fluctuation in my FICO score from week to week. Thus, I have had to break down and purchase - at $20.00 per month just to try to protect myself further. Monitoring my credit scores and constantly having to fix them is taking a significant amount of time out of my life. This should never be! I have a complaint about your FICO score calculations and the fact that there is no " explanation '' as to the CONSTANT fluctuation in my score every week. On - -, I checked my FICO score and it was -. Within one week ( today ), my FICO score dropped - points with - ... - points with Equifax ... and - points with -. When I viewed my credit report, I saw that I had done nothing
Since you credit reporting agencies hold so much " power '' over a person 's life ( their FICO score determines if they can buy a house, buy a car, rent an apartment, get a job, and various other " life issues '' I INSIST on a detailed, specific, verifiable explanation as to WHY my scores dropped from each of you. Since your agencies actually assigns a NUMBER which determines whether a person has " very poor '' credit ... '' poor '' " fair '' " good '' and then " excellent '' credit, there must be a certain " MATH '' that you use for each point. I demand to know the math - long form, that you have used to drop my scores. I have requested this about 1 1/2 year ago and was given a vague, ambiguous answer by credit reporting agencies that are authorized by the government to assign these FICO scores. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! Since your calculation can keep me from buying a car, home, or even rent a simple apartment. Since you have SO MUCH control over my life ... because of the FICO score that YOU determine. I want to know " specifically '' WHY my score has dropped with detailed explanation. When such serious responsibility is given to an organization, then ACCOUNTABILITY is required. So, to - ... please tell me why you dropped my score by - points within one week? To Equifax ... please tell me why you dropped my score by - points within one week? To - ... please tell me why you dropped my score by - points within one week. Please take responsibility by being " vigilant '' when an outsider attempts to provide information to assure that it is correct.
