M&T Bank Corporation Bank account or service department,

I opened this CD account ( along with - additional ) approximately 5 years ago. I now wish to close this account, but M & T Bank is making it impossible. When I opened this account I was adamant that I did not wish to have these accounts renewed automatically, I was told at the time I opened the accounts that it would be not be a problem and it would be noted on the account, this was not true. I sent my son to the bank on my behalf, I am - years old with a - - and -, and have -. He was told at the branch that the power of attorney that he possessed was not valid and the institution would only accept their own power of attorney form. I feel that M & T Bank uses deceptive methods and is attempting to take advantage of a - and veteran. I am attaching a copy of the power of attorney.
